Family Law Paralegal

Our client is in Conshohocken with its HQ in Philly. They are a mid-sized law firm that delivers advice to businesses, funds, families, and high-net-worth individuals.

We are assisting them in the identification and hiring of a Family Law Paralegal to join their team.

This position is in-office in their Conshohocken office.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research
  • Update and maintain internal databases
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
  • Draft, format, and file legal documents
  • Work closely with clients and others to gather necessary documents and information for case preparation
  • Manage court calendars and deadlines, and notify of the schedule
  • Liaise between the trial team and internal/external third parties
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials by organizing exhibits, witness lists, etc.
  • Assist with the discovery process, gathering evidence, responding to requests, and summarizing written discovery and document productions
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years’ recent experience in family law
  • ABA-approved paralegal certificate or other relevant certification
  • Experience with Family Law, Protection from Abuse, Collaborative Divorce, and Estate Planning
  • Trial preparation and trial support experience
  • Proficiency in researching legal issues and precedents
  • Experience drafting, formatting, and filing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, agreements, engagement letters, billing/collection letters, and memos
  • Experience using Word, Adobe, and E-Discovery platforms
  • Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documents, court rules and procedures, practices, etc.
